  • Parking is available around Lee Circle area and Wharf Street as well as around Staples and Maplins, approx 2 mins walk from Club
  • The club is downstairs in the Secular Hall Buildings
  • The club is 5 minutes walk from Leicester City Train station and St. Margaret’s Bus Station and is accessible from all major bus routes leading to and from the city.
  • We are directly across the road from Sainsbury’s supermarket & LIFE Nightclub.

Do I need to be fit to practice Aikido?

Not particularly, it is a non-competitive martial art so you can train within your capabilities. It is a physical activity so your fitness will develop and improve with regular Aikido training.

What do I need to practice Aikido?

Traditionally Aikidokas wear a Judo or Karate suit. For beginners it is fine to practice in loose fitting clothes like a track-suit.Judo and Karate suits for adults start at about £20 and can be obtained from any good sports or martial arts retailer such as Leicester based Martial Art Superstore.

How much does it cost?

Session fees are £6 per session.

Membership fee  Adult = £25.00 for a year

Junior (under 18) = £18.00 for a year
